Fossil Creek Equine Center is a state of the art equine conditioning and rehabilitation facility located in Boerne, TX.
This facility encompasses 19 indoor stalls, an AquaPacer, a Theraplate, a GameReady, Priefert Panel Walker, small sand pens, large grassy pastures, a 120’ x 180’ riding arena, and more. The main attraction, the AquaPacer, is an above ground water treadmill. Working horses in the AquaPacer not only increases the overall fitness and muscle development, but also promotes correct posture and a balanced gait. It is a great tool for horses recovering from an injury or to increase strength and endurance in a working horse. The Theraplate, a vibration platform, is used to increase blood flow, reduce stress and inflammation, and prevent injury.
The GameReady, a cold compression unit, is used as post workout therapy to prevent injury or to reduce swelling. The panel walker is a non-tie walker, in which the horse moves freely during the automated programs, each designed for an effective workout. Each therapy has its advantages, but when used together, the horse can receive the most effective treatment to ensure a safe healthy recovery and a fit horse.
