THE RUN FOR A MILLION SEASON 2 – 2020

The Run For A Million, the richest event in the history of Reining returns in 2020. This incredible competition will again be held at the prestigious South Point Arena and Equestrian Center in Las Vegas, Nevada from August 19 – 22, 2020. This time fifteen riders, including some of the most accomplished National Reining Horse Association’s Professionals, will compete for the $1,000,000 purse. The 2019 premier event received world-wide attention in epic proportions. Fans from all over the world attended in record numbers filling seats to cheer on every rider with roars of adulation. A large part of the event’s success was due to the triumph of the first season of Paramount Network and Executive Producer Taylor Sheridan’s unscripted series, The Last Cowboy. The unscripted reality series spotlighted highly-skilled horsemen and the intense, high-stakes world of professional reining. The Last Cowboy season one chronicled the lives of eight professional trainers as they prepared to compete in the richest event in the history of Reining The Run For A Million. Season one can be watched at www.paramountnetwork.com

Academy-Award nominee Taylor Sheridan, writer of HELL OR HIGH WATER and SICARIO, WRITER/DIRECTOR of WIND RIVER and co-creator of YELLOWSTONE, set out to design a venue that showcased the talent of both horse and rider in one of the most demanding equine sports in existence,  Reining. In 2019 Sheridan’s passionate efforts achieved exactly that when THE RUN FOR A MILLION introduced millions of viewers to the sport of Reining.  Taylor Sheridan is no stranger to the horse industry and is an accomplished and successful competitive rider himself.  He has received accolades from multiple equine industry leaders for his measurable contributions and positive influences.

In addition to the Run For A Million’s main event, there will be a $100,000 Added Shoot Out, $50,000 Invitational Freestyle, $50,000 Added Non Pro Championships, and Rookie Championships. Riders can qualify for these Championships at various events across the United States and Canada from January 1 through July 31, 2020.
