Results for the 18th Annual September WYO Sale

September 8th marked the Saturday of the 18th Annual “Fall” Sale held by the Smith family and Dr. H. B. Bartlett, DVM.  In combination with the Annual May Sale this was the 53RD sale.  An active crowd of bidders took home 29 quality, broke geldings, 25 two year olds started under saddle, 8 yearlings and 19 weanlings.

The high selling gelding was a big upstanding bay gelding, Lot 53   Mercedes Otoe Oil.  A well started heading prospect sold for $47,000 and makes his home in Colorado. The overall average on 29 head was $17, 224 with the top 10 geldings averaging $23, 900 and the top 20 $20,775.

25 Bartlett Ranch home raised, started under saddle 2 year old geldings averaged $7550.  The high seller was a buckskin  gelding by ELS Scottish Nick and out of a Handle Bar Doc daughter,  Lot 20, Me O My Nick brought $28,000.  He was Colorado bound for his new home.

ELS Lace And Roses, Lot 83, commanded the highest selling price for yearlings at $4500.  She is by TC Joe Cotton  and out of a daughter of Tee Jay Three Bars.   This striking filly that was registered gray, but turning buckskin which made her color very unique!   She will make her new home in Idaho.  The 8 yearlings averaged $2600.

19 home raised weanlings from the Bartlett/Smith breeding program averaged $1774.  The high selling weanling was Lot 62 Cats Dash To Fame, a gray filly by Vabellez who is by Dash Ta Fame.  On the Dam’s side she is out of an own daughter of Smooth As A Cat.  She bought $3700 and stays in Wyoming.
