RESULTS FOR THE 35TH ANNUAL MAY “WYO” SALE

MAY 19 marked the Saturday of the 35thAnnual Sale held by the Smith family and Dr. H. B. Bartlett.  In combination with the Annual Fall Sale this was the 52ndsale.  An active group of bidders took home 46 quality, broke geldings, 9 two year olds, started under saddle and 17 yearlings.

The high selling gelding was a beautiful 2012 buckskin gelding, Lot 32 Choice Two Remember. He was offered by Bill and Carole Smith.  He brought $32,000 and will make his home in Maryland.    The top 10 geldings averaged $21,300 and the top 20 $18,210.

7 two year old geldings offered by Bill Smith and started under saddle averaged $5650.  The high seller was a pretty red roan gelding by Wyo Sparky Shines. Lot 26 Wyo Spark and Shine raised by Bill and Carole Smith headed to Georgia for $10,000. Two home raised stallions, both two year olds started under saddle sold for any average of $6000.

Hi Ho Jazzy, Lot 28 raised by Dr. Bartlett, brought $5700 to hold the high selling price for yearlings.  She was a striking buckskin filly by Two Eyed Jazzy Buck and out of a daughter of Playgun.  She was New Mexico bound.  The 17 yearlings averaged $3223.53.

The Wyo horses found homes in 22 states.  We thank all of those in attendance and the lucky buyers for attending our 35thMay Sale.  Complete results are posted on our website at www.wyohorses.com. Our September Sale will be held the 8thfeaturing broke geldings, started two year olds from the Bartlett Ranch and home raised yearlings and weanlings.
