THE RUN FOR A MILLION has expanded the competition to include even more exhibitor opportunities including $100,000 Open Shoot Out, $50,000 Invitational Freestyle, $50,000 Non Pro Championships, and Rookie Non Pro Championships. For more information go to www.trfam.comHere is how you qualify ~

$100,000 OPEN SHOOT OUT

This special event is open to all riders, including Non Professionals, and horses of any age and breed. There is a preliminary round to be held on Thursday, August 15. From these horses twelve riders, plus ties, will advance to the final round Friday, August 16. MILLION DOLLAR INVITATIONAL riders may NOT enter the Shoot Out. Riders may enter up to three horses. There is an entry fee of $1,500. No judge’s fee. See entry from and schedule for complete information. NRHA Category 11 Approved. The TOP FIVE riders in the finals will be guaranteed a spot in the 2020 MILLION DOLLAR INVITATIONAL.

$50,000 INVITATIONAL FREESTYLE

Twelve riders will compete for $50,000 in prize money. Riders must submit an example of a Freestyle performance to brumleyevents@gmail.com DEADLINE for video submission is June 1, 2019. These riders performances will be judged based on level of difficulty, choreography, and all riders must follow NRHA rules for Freestyle Reining. Riders have four minutes to perform their Freestyle performance. There is an entry fee of $1,000. No judge’s fee. See entry information and schedule for complete information. $50,000 NON PRO CHAMPIONSHIP

The $50,000 Non Pro Championship requires riders to qualify using one of these following events:

  1. National Reining Breeders Classic – Katy, Texas | April 14 – 21, 2019
  2. NRHA Derby – Oklahoma City, Oklahoma | June 15 – 23, 2019
  3. The Bill Bradley Reining Classic – Lexington, Kentucky | July 3-7, 2019
  4. Reining by the Bay – Woodside, California | July 22-28, 2019

At these events there are two slates of NRHA Category 1 Non Pro Divisions. The top five placings in each slate from each event, including ties, will advance to the NON PRO CHAMPIONSHIP. Riders qualify only one time and do not need to compete in the Championship on the horse that is used to qualify. Riders must own horse based on NRHA rules. There is a $1,000 entry fee, no judge’s fee. See entry information and schedule for complete information. NRHA Category 11 Approved.

ROOKIE CHAMPIONSHIP

The Rookie Championship requires riders to use one of these qualify events:

During the National Reining Breeders Classic, Rookies must have been one of the top five composite scorers in the prelim Rookie classes at NRBC or must have been one of the top five scorers in the Consolation Round. A total of ten Rookies from the NRBC will qualify for THE RUN FOR A MILLION Rookie Challenge. At the remainder of these events there are two slates of NRHA Category 5 Rookie Level 2 Divisions. The top five placings in each slate from each event, including ties, will advance to the ROOKIE CHAMPIONSHIP. Riders qualify only one time and are not required to complete at the Rookie Championships on the horse used to qualify. Riders must own the horse based on NRHA rules.
